The eames where some of the most well known designers of the 20th century well know for there iconic modern and inexpensive mass produced designs Apart from the loung chair which was designed as a luxury item . each chair is easy on the eye and very striking. Also very different but all look very comofatble which in fact they are as quoted by Ray Eames “What works is better than what looks good.”The looks good can change, but what works, works.” which is true in all of there designs form follows function as was seen at the Barbicans Eames exhabition (sadly wasnt allowed to get any pictures) But they had a display of many trial and era experiments.
